Second Semester Senior

Fabulous isn't it? I think it has quite a nice ring to it! So, let's see...exams went well, grades were expected and happy with them. Now onto second semester, the last quarter, the last marking period, the last of everything. Before we want to, we'll be leaving this place that we've whinned about for so long. Leaving the art cave, the library, the classrooms, the lockers, the cafeteria, the corner, the long hallways, the teachers, the security, the saftey, the comfort, the friends. God, that was depressing, sorry, never again!
So on a lighter and girlier note- the prom dress is bought. It's fabulous, absolutely amazingly gorgeous. Jessica McClintock came through once again but in a very different form than last year. She came in a vintage fushia (spelling?) or maybe a really deep rasberry sorbet, so hot. Thanks to daddy who picked it out (as usual) and thanks to jeanne the pushy saleswoman who would have told me I looked like heaven in a trash bag and not cared at all. As long as the dress sold. And it did, and it's no trash bag. Plus! winter ball is in what like three weeks? and that little red number is bought as well- yay for little red dresses!!
Now, planning the birthday- the big 1-8!! And I've had a few requests for one last murder mystery extravaganza, so off we go to planning!!

Girls are Just Gonna Have Fun

It's grils night! Nail Polish, ice cream, popcorn, Lindsay Lohan, girl scout cookies, pizza, Hillary Duff, Lucky, Seventeen, Chad Michael Murray, pillows, no bedtime, Krispy Kremes, Diego, and a dash of gossip. Add it all together and you have my house tonight! Sometimes, you just need a break, not from boys, but from real life. And when you enter Girl's Night World you don't have to think about college, papers, exams, boyfriends, parents, siblings, whatever. It's a night to stuff your face and not care, a night to feel pretty in sweatpants, a night where Ben and Jerry are the only guys you'll ever need, a night where Pretty Woman, Mean Girls, and Cinderella Story are real life, a night where the amount of sleep is inversely proportional to the amount of fabulous fun you'll have. So, bring on the pajamas, dirty dirty gossip, chocolate sauce, and good friends. I can't wait!

PS...

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES HAVE ARRIVED!! I was a brownie myself back in the day so I apprciate the blood sweat and tears that went into the selling of these cookies...which is exactly why I bought 6 boxes yesterday, and you have no idea how incredibly exstatic i am right now that they are here, in my home, like still in the box (not for long) but they are here!
Let's here it for Thin Mints!!

Ode to Buffalo

O Buffalo
How you drag me away from a four day weekend after midterms
With no homework, no tests, no quizzes, and all of my friends
But no, all I really wanted to do was get in the car for 6 hours to greet even more snow
All I want waits for me in beloved Buffalo! Sleeping on the floor of my gramma's house,
Going to craft shows and eating the same dinner that my gramma made for her dog.
But seriously, it is a four day weekend with friends that I lose- but it's cool.
Not really, actually, it really sucks. But its done- I'm over it. Whats really in Buffalo?
Pancakes on Friday morning with grampa, pizza and monopoly with grams on friday night,
Watching cartoons with aunt beth on saturday morning, maggie the dog eating prime rib,
Getting the biggest bear hugs from every relative I havn't seen in a year,
And sitting in the backseat with Sara on the way home without a DVD player-
Complaining about all the fun we missed this weekend, but remembering all the fun we made.
O Buffalo

How do you say Fail in Latin?

Let's see: to quote the lovely Mr. Stevens "D is for Diploma." Fabulous. To quote my mom "Just keep your head above water Kels, close Vergil and come watch some TV." Thus is my current Latin state of mind. I've given up on memorizing 700 lines of translation, and I am hoping just to write a kick ass essay and have that balance out the fact that I'm not going to study the actual latin stuff. Thats ok right? Well, than I apologize Mr. George Washington, I hope you can forgive me!
So, this week's wrap up...Monday: snowday (fabulous) Tuesday: lunch at the Club with Annie and Mags, and quote of the lunch was "So, we'll just slow dance with our boyfriends and stand against the wall for the rest of the night...at least we're getting action!" Wednesday: surgery...ouch Thursday: CODINE!! Friday: brain frying caused by the last of review days Saturday:SNOW! some studying and some movies and lots of snacks. I think we were successful this week! Now to study, or not so much- Mike in response to your post I would love to study latin with you but if only i could get out of my driveway!
Back to snacking and movies, I just decided it's codine time, which means I now declare studying over for the day!!

Fork in the Road? No, fork in the head

You ever feel like you have a fork stuck in your head? Well, I do. Right now. Got out of surgery yesterday afternoon and I was fine, went better than I thought it would! Novacaine is a beautiful thing until it wears off. Then its deadly.
Picture driving from Abington Hospital to my house (usually a 25 minute drive) well it took 87 minutes, and when your drugs have worn off in about oh i dont know- minute 13, it got really ugly. Doctor said nothing about the pain after the surgery. Well this was a sharp burning excrutiating pain, and I had 74 minutes to go. Lets just say there were some waterworks. Now, this morning, hoping to feel fine- no- woke up ran into the bathroom and threw up. Great way to start the morning. But had to go to school because of the English final. Fabulous. Advil has not been working at all- where can i get some better drugs? So, called the doctor who is hooking me up with some tylenol with codine. Its supposed to knock you out cold, so as long as im not planning on "operating an heavy machinery" tonight i should be ok. In other words...latin is getting postponed once again. So ill just have to learn 700 lines of translation over the weekend. Any suggestions?? Fabulous.

A little Pissed Off

Just read some of the comments on a recent post and they were from people i don't know nor do i want to know. This blog is an expression of myself- I dont think that one person has the right to criticize or insult it because they don't know me, and they can't insult who I am. If you dont like me than thats too bad, because you obviously don't know me well enough to make that decision. Im not trying to change any opinons, but I think its rude to insult someone based on their blog entries. I use this space to be happy, to express good things that have made an impact on me. Sure other people can look at it, but im not writing for them- im writing for me. This space is not to express depressing or angry thoughts- because I know other people do read it- which means I save those thoughts for myself, in other places. This blog is usually happy, and im sorry if you dont like that- but thats who i am, yeah it may be sickening at times but thats who i am. Yes, these comments have been deleted but I hope no one else feels the same way some people do. Apparently I am a "stuck up bitch"-maybe im crazy but i dont think thats my goal in life nor do i act like one on a daily basis- so i m having trouble seeing where someone would relate me being a bitch to my blog entries. So, Im not apologizing but rather explaining this space is for me, for me to express my happieness- if you cant appreicate it than dont waste your time reading it.

My Life with a Little of Joe's Help

So, talking to Joe tonight and he raised some very important an amusing questions but also some fabulous insight into the dark caverns of a boy's so called mind:

joproroyo: whats up with u and mike and tillman and jeff?
joproroyo: every1 flirts with u lol
joproroyo: i would think that u would be flirted out

But on the contrary, a girl has her flriting needs, and I happen to have very very very nice friends....

But, the bottom line here is:
joproroyo: and the point is that guys find u as hot as brad pitt

Life is fun. Thanks for the info Joe!

A Long Underwear State of Mind

It was one of those nights when you didn't want to leave home without your long underwear! So what if CHA's ice hockey team lost? And who cares if it was about 19 degrees in the rink? Certainly not me! Everybody whose anybody shows up for the funnest night in a long time. They were screaming, they were banging on the boards, they were throwing hats onto the ice, and they were having a hell of a time. Nothing like a few good fights on the ice that says school spirit or at least that's how we do it. It was a night of crushes blossoming, a night of new interests, a night of an 18 point turn in the Borders parking lot with Annie who insisted there would be parking, but alas- there was not. So, an all around good night!

Now, I just need my Heather to get better!!
