You've Got Mail, Hugh, and Freddie Prince Jr.

Tonight was a night of chick flick romance and tissue grabbing. Since, I need to knock this cold once and for all I opted for the Saturday night tv movies. The selection you ask? Couldn't have been any better: Notting Hill, You've Got Mail, and She's All That. No not all three in one night, what kind of tv dork do you take me for? No I caught the last 45 minutes of the lovely Tom Hanks and Brinkley meeting face to face with the beautiful Meg Ryan as they finally kiss in a flower filled park on a day warmed by the light of the sun. Then I switched to about an hour of Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, no description needed. And finally, the best prom dance scene in any movie...ever- and it just so happens that Usher is there too. And of course there were tears when they started to play "Kiss Me" outside Laney Bogg's house when Freddie Prince Jr. finally dances with her in the moonlight. Do you really think this stuff happens? I mean is there that one person that is so generous, so undyingly charming, so gentlmanly that you wake up feeling everything and nothing? Is there going to be some sickeningly adorable theme song playing in the background when you look up into their eyes and realize that's all you want to look at for the rest of forever. I hope so. And I hope he can dance like Freddie Prince Jr. with the kindness of Tom Hanks and the British accent of Hugh Grant. And who said chick flicks were sappy? They're fabulous.

I watched Notting Hill on tv too! It's like the tv bum version of the romanticized idea of looking up at the same moon even when you're far away... haha i miss you kels!
